Two of the best offenses in the NBA face off when the 24-19 Indiana Pacers host the 30-14 Denver Nuggets. The Pacers sit seventh in the congested Eastern Conference, even with the Heat in sixth and trailing the fifth-place Knicks by two games. Indiana has hit a downturn in form in what has been an extremely impressive season overall. A 117-110 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday marked the team's second straight defeat and their fourth loss in the last five. The Pacers made the news recently after the move to acquire Raptors’ two-time All-Star Pascal Siakam in a trade. Siakam put up 21 points on his debut and 15 points against the Suns as he adapts to his new teammates and environment. Unsurprisingly, the Pacers dip in form has coincided with star point guard Tyrese Haliburton having missed six of his last seven games. He’s listed as questionable but is expected to take part after playing vs Portland and sitting out vs Phoenix last game.

The Nuggets play the fourth in a five-game east coast road trip on Tuesday. After dealing the Celtics their first home loss of the season, the defending champions would defeat the Wizards 113-104 on Sunday. It was the second consecutive win for Denver and their fourth in the last five overall. The victory saw Denver close the gap on the top spot as, despite sitting third, they trail the first-place Timberwolves by only half a game. The Nuggets will be looking for their second win over Indiana in the last two weeks after a 117-109 home win on January 14th. However, that victory was without the Pacers having Haliburton ready and was before the Siakam trade. The Nuggets’ away record is 13-10 compared to their stellar 17-4 mark on their home court.
