LA Lakers are 1-1 with Houston Rockets after the first two games of this Western Conference semi-final. The Lakers are top seeds in this conference after winning 52 games in the regular season, that's eight more than their opponents. They had few problems in their play-off first round matches beating the Portland Trail Blazers 4-1. Their opponents in this semi-final didn't have such an easy time having to go to the deciding match to get a 4-3 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. That must have inspired them as they won the opening match of this semi-final by 15 points, winning three of the four quarters. 

The Lakers came out strong in the second match, winning the first quarter by 16 points and kept that lead to half time. The Rockets shocked them in the third quarter winning that by 18 points and taking a two-point lead. LA fought back thoug to win the final quarter by ten points to win by eight and level this match. That game illustrates just how topsy-turvy this series could be with both sides able to have strong quarters. Anthony Davis is in top form for the Lakers but so is James Harden for the Rockets.
