The 3-1 Golden State Warriors look to make it four wins in a row when they host the 2-1 Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. After falling 108-104 to the Suns to start the year, the Warriors have recovered beautifully with three straight wins over the Kings, Rockets and Pelicans. Their most recent of which finished in a dominant 130-102 win over New Orleans away from home on Monday. It certainly would have been a morale-boosting victory for a team that struggled immensely to get wins on the road last season. Steph Curry dropped 42 points in only 30 minutes of action in their 28-point win which included drilling seven of 13 from downtown. The Warriors were without Klay Thompson in the win over the Pels but the 33-year-old shooting guard is listed as ‘probable’ for this matchup. They’ll now seek their second win over Sacramento in the young 2023/24 season after also eliminating them from the playoffs last year.

The Kings only setback so far this season was the 122-114 loss they suffered to the Golden State Warriors on their home court last week. Aside from that, Sacramento has recorded high-scoring wins over the Utah Jazz, where they scored 130 points, and the LA Lakers, where they put up 132. It continues the trend from last season which saw the Kings finish as the highest-scoring team in the league. The Kings finished as the third-seed in the West last season with 48 wins and 34 losses. One of the keys to their success was their excellent performances on the road as they finished with the best away record in the Western Conference (25-16). Despite their success, they come into this matchup as significant underdogs against a side that is quickly becoming their bogey-team.
