The defending champions had video of Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole in the face in a practice which resulted in Green taking a few days away from the team. The Lakers have to deal with constant speculation and chatter over Russel Westbrook not being able to adapt to the team’s playstyle. Davis looked excellent in his limited preseason minutes, especially against the Warriors when the two teams met up a week ago. Look for the Lakers to heavily focus their gameplan around AD which should get the 29-year-old plenty of touches. The Warriors will also have to deal with the unusualness of receiving their championship rings right before tipoff, a situation that Warriors star Stephen Curry has spoken about in the past, calling it the “weirdest night of the year”.
