Getafe can’t just stop their slide down the La Liga table, and Valencia will be looking to add to their woes. The two sides face off on Sunday, with hosts Getafe starting the round in 12th place and Valencia 18th. We have a prediction for the match below.
Getafe hit another low in their last outing, a home game against Real Sociedad, which they lost 2-1. After Juanmi’s 90th-minute equalizer, they suffered a late setback, conceding in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
Getafe have now managed just one point across their last five matches. There hasn’t been much comfort at home either, as they’ve lost four of six in the league.
Valencia are coming straight from beating Burgos FC, the team that eliminated Getafe from the Copa del Rey. They won that 2-0 and will hope to carry similar form to La Liga.
Having only lost once in the last five matches, Valencia will have genuine belief that they can rise out of the bottom three this weekend. Los Che left it late before pulling a goal back to draw 1-1 with Elche.
