Napoli lead Serie A by two points but were held to a goalless draw at home by Inter at the weekend losing their 100 percent league record.  That draw followed the midweek loss at Manchester City in the Champions League but before that they had won their last six games in a row. Away form has been poor in Europe with two defeats already but in Serie A, Napoli have won all five of their games scoring 14 and conceding four. Those wins include victories at Lazio and Roma who are fourth and fifth respectively in the table. Genoa are down in 14th in the table with just six points and only out the bottom three on goal difference. Their only league win of the season was a 3-2 win at Cagliari who are two places below them in the table. Genoa are still looking for their first home league win of the season with just one point from their four games. That point came in a 1-1 draw with Chievo giving away the lead. The other three home games have ended in defeats to Juventus, Lazio and Bologna. Napoli look too strong for their opponents and can get a fifth straight away league win.
