The 2025 EuroBasket Women's tournament heads into the last eight on Tuesday, with France set to take on Lithuania in the first quarter-final. The winner of this match between Les Bleues and the Second Religion will move on to face either Spain or Czechia in the semi-final. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

France is on course to extend their impressive record in this competition. They have finished in the top three in each of the last eight editions, winning two bronze, five silver and one gold medal. 

Les Bleues romped into the last eight of EuroBasket with a flawless 3-0 record during the group stage, beating Turkey 71-69 and Greece 92-56 before smashing Switzerland 111-37 on Saturday. 

With that, the French women have now won two of their last 10 matches across all competitions dating back to the Paris Olympic Games. 

Meanwhile, Lithuania have been the biggest surprise package of the competition, having come through Group B in second place despite being the second-lowest seed in the tournament. 

The Second Religion edged Slovenia 77-71 in their opening match before pulling off one of the upsets of the competition, beating number eight seed Serbia 74-63 in game two. 

They were unable to best Italy in their last match, though, which leaves them with a record of six wins and four defeats in their last 10 games across all competitions.
