France vs Italy Prediction & Betting Tips - Eurobasket Women

The battle for bronze at EuroBasket Women 2025 will see France face off against Italy at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Sunday. Les Bleues are third according to FIBA Women’s World Ranking, while Azzurre are 15th. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

France will be bitterly disappointed to have missed out on another gold at EuroBasket. Bronze here will mark their ninth consecutive medal in the competition, though their last gold medal was won back in 2009. 

Les Bleues came through the group stage with a perfect three wins over Turkiye, Greece and Switzerland. They eased past Lithuania 83-61 in the quarter-final before losing to Spain in a nail-biter 65-64 in the semis. 

Janelle Salaun has been the standout performer for the French. She is averaging 16.2 PPG, shooting 59.6% from the field. 

Meanwhile, regardless of the outcome here, Italy will record their best finish at EuroBasket since 2005, which was also the last time they won a medal at the competition (silver). 

Azzurre won all three of their group stage matches, beating Lithuania, Slovenia and shockingly, Serbia. They needed O/T to overcome Turkiye in the quarter-final but came up agonisingly short of Belgium 66-64 in the final four. 

Cecilia Zandalasini has led the Italians in the competition, tied fifth with Salaun on 16.2 PPG, while shooting 46.4 % from the field.
