Fiji will look to book their place in the quarter-final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup when they take on Portugal on Sunday evening. Fiji are currently third in Pool C, while Portugal are fifth. Fiji have been excellent in this competition and came within metres of clinching a win in their opening match against the group leaders, Wales. While they were unable to get that victory, they made their intentions clear. The Flying Fijians then pulled off a historic win, claiming their first victory over Australia in a World Cup and taking the driver's seat to finish second in the group. They are now just one point behind the Wallabies, and a draw or better will see them send Australia out of the tournament. With a favourable fixture here, Fiji look destined to join the Dragons in the knockout stages. 

While Portugal have not managed a win in this competition, they have won over many fans with their whole-hearted approach. They were no match for Wales or Australia, but they came agonisingly close to winning their first-ever World Cup match against Georgia, which eventually ended 18-18. Compared to the teams at the bottom of the other Pools in the competition, Os Lobos have been head and shoulders better. With two points on the board, they cannot qualify for the quarter-finals but will want to give one more good account of themselves before heading home.
