Top seed Elina Rybakina and seventh seed Daria Kasatkina will contest the 2024 Abu Dhabi Open final. It is the fifth meeting between the two and the first in a championship match. Elena Rybakina is through to her second final of the season. The Kazakh is having a superb start to the year and will hope to triumph here as she did in Brisbane. She defeated Liudmila Samsonova in the semifinals in three sets. The win was her first over the Russian in what was their fifth meeting. Rybakina is in her third appearance in Abu Dhabi and before this season had never advanced past the quarterfinals here. Her run to the final has seen her move up one place in the live ranking to fourth. Rybakina has won nine of 11 matches.

Daria Kasatkina has also won nine matches this season and is through to her second final of the year. The Russian finished as runner-up in Adelaide and will be hoping to go one better here. Kasatkina, whose best result here was a quarterfinal finish last season, defeated Beatriz Haddad Maia in the semis. She won in three sets to record her first victory in three encounters with the Brazilian. The world number 14 can move up one place in the live ranking with a win here.
