The Denver Nuggets will be at home for their next NBA regular season matchup which will be against the Toronto Raptors. They come to this match sitting second in the Western Conference while the Raptors are 12th in the East. The Nuggets have been in exceptional form since the All-Star break and have won eight of their last nine matches. After falling in OT to the Suns to see a six-game winning run snapped, Mike Malone’s men have embarked on another winning run. They have won their last two games, defeating the number one-ranked Celtics as well as the Jazz. Both matches have had them as hosts with the Jazz one the more recent. Denver thrashed Utah 142-121 to earn their 44th win of the season to maintain just one game from top spot in the West. The Nuggets, who have Nikola Jokic questionable for this game, are averaging 121.3 points over their last three matches. They defeated the Raptors 113-104 in the reverse match in Toronto back in December.

After winning their first three matches after the All-Star break, the Raptors have again regressed. They have won just one of their last six matches and are on a three-game skid. Darko Rajakovic’s men have suffered their five losses in this run to Western Conference opposition with the most recent coming in Portland. They were humbled 128-118 by the second-worst-ranked team in the West. Their 41st loss in 64 matches saw them drop six games from the playoff places. The Raptors have won twice in the last four matchups with the Nuggets with one of those coming on the road. They will hope to rise to the occasion again but this will be a big ask with the team decimated by injuries. Toronto, who are averaging 109.7 points in their last three matches, have four players ruled out for this trip. Jakob Poeltl, Bruce Brown, D.J Carton and Scottie Barnes will not be involved here. Poeltl, Brown, and Barnes are all averaging double-figure points with the latter the team’s second-highest scorer.
