The Denver Nuggets will welcome the Philadelphia 76ers looking to get back to winning ways in the NBA. They arrive for this match sitting third in the Western Conference, the same position that Philadelphia is currently holding in the East. The Nuggets are coming off a humiliating defeat in New York to close out a five-match road trip in the East. Mike Malone’s men were hammered by the Knicks and lost by 38 points. They managed just 84 points which is their lowest tally so far this season. Returning home should have them confident of putting this behind them immediately. Denver has won 17 of 21 matches at the Ball Arena where they are averaging 120.6 points a night. The Nuggets won 116-111 the last time the Sixers were in town. Julian Strawther and Vlatko Cancar have been absent for long spells due to injury and are likely to be absent here.

The Sixers have won two of the last three matchups with Denver. One of those victories came earlier this month at home in the first meeting of the season. Nick Nurse’s men won 126-121 and were led by Joel Embiid’s 41 points. Embiid and Jokic are bound to again go back and forth in one of the more anticipated matchups of the season. The Sixers are also coming off a defeat. They were undone 134-122 by the exciting Indiana Pacers to see a six-match winning run halted. Philadelphia has dominated against Western Conference opposition and so far has compiled a 10-3 record against such teams. Two of the three defeats have however come when they have been on the road in the conference. The Sixers are expected to be without De’Anthony Melton, Robert Covington, and Mo Bamba.
