The Denver Nuggets will be out to get back to winning ways in the NBA when they host the New Orleans Pelicans next. Denver is currently third in the Western Conference and leads sixth-placed New Orleans by 2.5 games. The Nuggets have wobbled in recent outings and have lost three of their last six fixtures. They were defeated 124-111 last time out by the Jazz which was their 13th loss of the campaign. Mike Malone’s men are a game behind top spot in the East and will hope to clear this with this game. They won the first meeting of the season with New Orleans 134-116 at home. A second victory will see them secure the regular season series 2-1. The Nuggets, who are averaging 120.5 points a night when at home, will be without Julian Strawther.

The Pelicans are in red-hot form at the moment and are one of the form teams in the entire league. Willie Green’s men have won six of their last seven games and are currently on a two-game run. In this stretch, they have defeated the Kings, Timberwolves, and Warriors. Their only loss came against the Clippers, another in-form team. New Orleans blew out the Warriors last time out and won by 36 after tallying 141 points. They are now eight games above .500 but are only half a game from the Play-In places. Eight players scored at least 12 points against the Warriors with Trey Murphy and Zion Williamson combining for 35 points. The two players have struggled with injuries and are listed as ‘Questionable’ for the Denver game. Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum are also doubts while Matt Ryan is out. New Orleans won 115-110 at home last time out against Denver.
