The Dallas Mavericks will host the Orlando Magic seeking to get back to winning ways in the NBA. They are currently eighth in the Western Conference standings, the same position the Magic hold in the East. The Mavericks are coming off a 120-115 defeat at home to the Kings. Their fourth loss in five outings extinguished the euphoria of Luka Doncic’s memorable night in Atlanta. Doncic scored a career and franchise-high 73 points to lead the Mavericks to a 148-143 victory over the Hawks. Dallas has struggled with inconsistency this season and sits just four games above .500. They did however win the first matchup of the season with Orlando which should have them confident of a win here. Dallas, who are averaging 119.6 points at home, will be without Kyrie Irving again. The eight-time All-Star has missed the last three matches with a thumb injury. Dwight Powell, Dante Exum, Maxi Kleber, and Derrick Jones Jr. are the other players on the injury report.

The Orlando Magic put to a halt a two-game skid last time out and will want to keep the momentum going. Jamahl Mosley’s men dominated the in-form Suns and won 113-98 to earn their 24th win and move to two games above .500. They now begin a three-game trip to the West, where they have so far struggled this season. The Magic have been defeated seven times in their 10 trips to the West so far. They will be hoping as they arrive for this match in better health than their hosts, things will be favourable. Garry Harris is ruled out for this match and is the only player on the team’s injury report. Orlando is struggling on offence and is ranked 25th in the league, averaging 110.3 points when away from home.
