The NBA Western Conference Finals heads to Dallas for game three with the Mavericks facing a must-win game against the Warriors. Golden State took games one and two at home, putting themselves in a fantastic position to make their sixth finals appearance in the last eight years. A loss in this game would likely spell the end for the Mavs fantastic playoff run as no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA’s 75-year history. However, Luka Doncic and company will not be strangers to the situation they find themselves in, as they trailed the top-seeded Suns 2-0 heading back to Dallas in the previous series - which they ultimately won in a game seven blowout. For Golden State, they maintained their perfect 8-0 home record in this year's playoffs and will look to steal one of the next two games in Dallas for the possibility to close things out back in San Francisco. 

Golden State will get the Mavericks best shot here, as Dallas will know that their season is effectively on the line. The Mavs have been good at home in this playoff run and have a 5-1 record at the American Airlines Center. Also playing the hosts favor is the Warriors below average road results - despite being undefeated at home, the Warriors are just 2-3 on the road in the NBA playoffs. Golden State is a terrific team and rightly deserve their status as the current favorites to win the title in the oddsmakers eyes but this game in particular is a tough spot. The Warriors still likely advance to the NBA Finals but returning to Dallas in front of what will be a raucous crowd should give the Mavs the boost they need to get a game back in this series.
