Chelsea continued with their fine run in the season with a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur and will be eyeing another win when they take on Aston Villa in the League Cup on Wednesday. The Blues are still unbeaten in the season, winning five and drawing two of the seven games played and they've scored in all the seven matches, on four occasions scoring two or more. This will be the second time they host Villa this season and they head here with three straight clean sheets and four in five matches. Chelsea have scored seven goals in the last three matches, and only one of those goals has come in the first half. They have four straight wins at home, with three clean straight sheets.

Aston Villa returned to winning ways this weekend, beating Everton 3-0 to recover from their own 3-0 loss to Chelsea in the earlier game. That was Villa’s third clean sheet in five matches, and the fourth time in six that they scored two or more goals. This season they’ve only failed to score in one game – against Chelsea, while four of their six matches have produced over 2.5 goals. Away from home, in the last five matches, they have three losses, and only one clean sheet in nine, and to change that, they’ll do with a lot of improvement here.
