The Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers face off for the second time in the past three nights when they meet at the Spectrum Center on Wednesday. The Hornets are looking toward the end of the season at this point as they sit 13th in the East with a 17-54 record. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, will be out to solidify their third-place standing as their 44-28 mark gives them a slim half game lead over the fourth-placed Knicks.

Cleveland was able to pick up a much-needed 115-92 home win over the Hornets when the two teams played on Monday evening. The victory ended a three-game losing streak for the Cavs and kept them in third-place in the Eastern Conference standings. It’s been a rough month for the Cavs who have posted a record of just 8-9 in the past 30 days. However, they have a golden opportunity to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time since February 27th against this struggling Hornets team.

Their 92 points scored in their most recent loss means that this team has failed to crack the 100-point mark in its last five consecutive games, something that is almost unheard of in the modern NBA.
