Brooklyn looks to make it two wins in a row on Friday evening when they host a San Antonio team trying to avoid a third straight defeat. Here’s our prediction for this match between the Nets and the Spurs!
The Nets pulled off a 111-105 upset road victory over Milwaukee last night thanks to a fourth quarter which saw them outscore the Bucks by 12 points. While the Bucks didn’t have the services of MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, it was still an impressive win for Brooklyn who were decently-sized underdogs.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Brooklyn and marked only the team’s third win in their last 10 outings. Brooklyn now sits 11th in the East with 12 wins and 18 defeats.
The San Antonio Spurs head to Brooklyn battling to keep their heads above water. At 15-15, the Spurs also find themselves in 11th place, although in the Western Conference.
They’ve dropped their last two games in a row following a Christmas Day 117-114 defeat to the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. The visitors are now 4-8 on their travels compared to their solid home record of 11-7.
San Antonio will have the rest advantage here and shouldn’t have too much travel fatigue as they will have been in New York for a few days.
