The Brooklyn Nets will seek another win over the Atlanta Hawks when they host the second game of a back-to-back between the two. Three games separate the two teams in the Eastern Conference standings with the 10-placed Hawks having the edge over Brooklyn in 11th. The Nets won the first game of this back-to-back emphatically. In what was interim coach Kevin Ollie’s fifth game in charge, Brooklyn won 124-97 to earn their second win in three outings. Their 23rd win of the season also took them closer to the play-in places. A second successive win here will do them a world of good in this regard. It will also mean they win the regular season series 3-1. Brooklyn, who are averaging 112.1 points a game, missed the services of Ben Simmons and Dariq Whitehead in the first match. The injury report for this match is yet to be revealed but the duo is expected to miss out here as well.

The Hawks will strengthen their hold on the final play-in position with a win here. Quin Snyder’s men will therefore know they must avoid a second successive loss. Before arriving in Brooklyn for the first match, the Hawks had won two in a row. Atlanta have struggled with their form all season and at the moment sit seven games below .500. They have won 26 times with 15 coming against fellow East teams. One of those wins was an exciting OT victory over the Nets back in November that ended 147-145. The Hawks possess the fourth-best-ranked offence and are averaging 120.7 points. They however have had to do without their leading scorer Trae Young for the last three fixtures. Young, who is averaging 26.4 points, has been sidelined with a finger issue. He could be ruled out for this match as well.
