The Boston Celtics will seek to keep their unbeaten home record intact when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves next in the NBA. This match sees the top teams in both conferences collide with Boston leading in the East and Minnesota in the West. The Celtics haven’t lost at home this season and will be seeking to extend this winning streak to 18 games. If they do so, they will set a franchise record. Joe Mazzulla’s men, who possess the best record in the NBA, have seen a slight dip in form in recent outings. They have lost twice in their last four matches with the most recent defeat coming last time out away to the Pacers. The Celtics scored 131 points but lost by two in an intense match against the league’s best-ranked offence. For this match, Boston, who are ranked in the top five in both offence and defence, could be without three players. Al Horford, Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis are all listed as ‘Questionable’.

The Timberwolves won the reverse match in OT back in November. Chris Finch’s men are one of eight teams so far to have won against Boston. This should have them confident of going into TD Garden and snapping Boston’s unbeaten record. Minnesota has however not dominated in recent weeks as they did to start the season. The Timberwolves have lost half of their last eight fixtures and a majority of those have come away from home. The team got back to winning ways last time out and defeated the Magic 113-92. Minnesota, who could be without Jaylen Clark once again, are now one and a half games clear at the top in the West. They possess the number one ranked defence, holding teams to 107.2 points a night.
