Quarter-final four at the 2025 EuroBasket Women’s tournament will see Belgium face off against neighbours Germany on Wednesday evening. The winner of this match between the Belgian Cats and the German women will take on either Italy or Turkiye in the semi-finals. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Belgium is the reigning EuroBasket champion and entered the 2025 edition of the competition as one of the favourites to defend their title. So far, they have lived up to expectations. 

The Belgian Cats were far too good for the teams in their group, as they secured three straight wins, beating Portugal 81-52, Montenegro 87-53 and Czechia 72-60, to claim top spot. 

They have been in sensational form since the Olympic Games last year, winning 11 of their 12 matches, with the only exception being a defeat to France in a friendly earlier this month. 

Meanwhile, Germany made the most of their home advantage during the group stage, notching up two wins in three games to qualify for the knockouts in second place behind Spain.

The Germans beat Sweden 89-76 and Great Britain 80-67, either side of a 79-60 loss to the Spanish ladies. They have now won five and lost five of their last 10 games across all competitions.

Notably, Germany has not fared well against their upcoming opponents, having lost to them in six of their last seven encounters, including back-to-back earlier this month.
