Argentina and Chile will face off in week four of the 2023 Rugby World Cup this Saturday. The Pumas are in fourth place in Pool D, while Chile are at the bottom of the group. Argentina were strongly fancied to qualify from this group leading up to the World Cup. However, after they were beaten by a 14-man England, there were questions raised about their chances of progressing. The Pumas quickly put those doubts to rest in their second match, though, beating Samoa 19-10 last week, with Emiliano Boffelli scoring a whopping 16 of their 19 points. Samoa received a yellow card in the first minute of that match which gave Argentina the chance to open a 10-point lead by the break. Having not earned a bonus point as yet, Argentina are still in the thick of a wide-open group, but they will be expecting a big result in this one. 

Meanwhile, Chile have found it difficult in this competition and come into this match off the back of a 71-0 hiding by England. That followed losses to Samoa and Japan in their opening two fixtures. Chile have now conceded 156 points, including 22 tries while managing to score just 22 points and only three tries across their three matches. The Condors have now conceded a minimum of 40 points in each of their three matches. There have been numerous matches between these teams over the years, but only 39 have been classed as Test matches. In those 39 matches, Argentina have never lost to Chile. With The Pumas needing a big win, Chile are likely to see their World Cup campaign end with a sizeable loss here.
