Top seed Alexander Zverev is one win away from a second successive Erste Bank Open final. To reach the title decider, the German must defeat fifth seed Alex de Minaur. Zverev was in excellent form on Friday and our prediction here is that he will win this match in straight sets.
The winner will play a final against either second seed Carlos Alcaraz or third-seeded Daniil Medvedev.
Alexander Zverev is top of the rankings in the live list and will end the year in that position. On Friday, he beat Arthur Fery for the loss of just two games. He has only lost one set in this tournament, that was to Martin Landaluce in the first round in Vienna. He won this title five years ago. He's won two titles this year.
Zverev leads de Minaur 9-4 in previous meetings and recently beat him in straight sets in Shanghai.
Alex de Minaur is in his third straight Vienna semi-final. He's yet to reach the final.
The Australian has won one indoor hard court title this year and has won all nine of his matches on this surface in 2026.
He also lost a set in round one, but has since had two straight sets victories. Six of his last eight losses (one by retirement) have seen him fail to win a set.
