Milan are seventh in the table but already 13 points behind league leaders Juventus. They are only three points clear of 15th place SPAL so a few bad results could see them quickly slip down the table. This season has seen Milan unbeaten at home in Serie A with three wins and a draw with only Atalanta coming away with a point. Away form isn't so good though with just one win in their five away league matches. They are unbeaten in their last six home league games, scoring at least twice in each of them and are unbeaten in their last three home league games against Genoa.

The visitors are 11th in the table but only a point behind their opponents. They come into this game on a run of three league games without a win with the last two both ending in draws. That run has included them getting a 1-1 draw at Juventus and they remain the only team to have taken points off the league leaders this season. Genoa have only won one of their four away games this season and lost 5-3 at Sassuolo and 4-1 at Lazio. Milan can be backed to keep their good home run going with a home win in this game.
