Burnley vs Newcastle Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Struggling Burnley could climb out of the bottom three this weekend. They are currently 19th in the Premier League and host Newcastle United who are seventh. If Luton were unable to beat Everton on Friday and Nottingham Forest lose at Sheffield United on Saturday, a home win for Burnley will see them escape the bottom three. It's been a dismal season for the Clarets but they are only a point from safety. They are unbeaten in their last three league games and only been beaten in one of them. The problem is they draw too many games with five of the last eight ending level. Home form was a disaster at the start of the season but they have earned five points from their last three. They've still only won a couple of home league fixtures this season with 11 losses. Both teams regularly score in their home matches and that stat has come up in all but one of their last eight league games at Turf Moor.

Newcastle United still have a chance of European football next season. They start the weekend in seventh place but are only a point behind Manchester United who are sixth. They still have to play United away so that will be a crucial match. The Magpies would be higher in the table but for their poor away form. Only four of their 16 away Premier League games have been won this season with ten defeats. They have won three of their last four league matches and last week beat Sheffield United 5-1 at home. Two of those wins came at home though and Newcastle have lost three of the last four on the road. Both teams have scored in five of their last eight away games in all competitions.
