Round two of the Carabao Cup will see Wolverhampton Wanderers play host to Blackpool on Tuesday evening. The hosts are currently in 15th place in the Premier League, while the visitors are 15th in League One. Wolves come into this match following a 1-0 win over Everton last weekend. That was their first win of the season after losing 1-0 to Manchester United on opening weekend and 4-1 to Brighton the following week. While they had a very poor league season last term, their home record over the second half of the campaign was fairly good. They were unbeaten in their final five home games of the season and kept four clean sheets in that time. The hosts reached the quarter-final of this competition last season, where they lost to Nottingham Forest 4-3 on penalties. Against lower-division opposition here, Wolves are the clear favorites, according to the bookmakers. 

Meanwhile, Blackpool made a strong start to the season but have struggled to keep it going. They beat Burton Albion in the first match of the league season and then overcame Derby County 2-0 in the first round of this competition. However, since then, the visitors have failed to win any of the next four matches ahead of this one. They played out three stalemates and prolonged their goalless run to four matches after losing 3-0 last weekend to Lincoln City. The Seasiders have taken six points in their first five league games and are the joint-second-lowest scoring team in League One. Blackpool were knocked out of this competition in the first round last season and are huge outsiders to win this one.
