West Ham begin life without Dimitri Payet as he heads to France. Not probably the time to face a side who have beaten you twice this season scoring eight goals in the process. After a 3-1 loss away in the league, they drew City at home in the FA Cup third round and got hammered 5-0 (sorry couldn't resist that one). West Ham are up to 10th in the table after a bad start to the season but have little chance of getting relegated or getting into Europe. Manchester City are fifth in the table but 12 points adrift of leaders Chelsea and that could be 15 by the time this game begins. They had a good win at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Saturday and even though a league title looks unlikely this season, they may well win the FA Cup and are still in the Champions League. Making sure they get a top four finish is their biggest challenge though and they can earn three points here with another win over West Ham.
