West Ham suffered a humiliating 5-0 FA Cup defeat by Manchester City in their last home game. Before that they lost a league game at home to Manchester United and start the weekend in 13th place, seven points above the relegation zone. Before the losses to the two Manchester sides, the Hammers had started to show some good form at the London Stadium especially when playing teams down down the bottom of the table with victories over Sunderland, Burnley and Hull City. Now they take on another struggling team in the shape of Crystal Palace. They are one point and one place above the bottom three. The arrival of Sam Allardyce as manager hasn't worked wonders so far with one point from three league games and a draw at League One Bolton in the FA Cup. They have only managed three goals in their last six games and have gone eight away games without a win. West Ham can't be trusted too much but they can get a home win over struggling Palace.
