Wales vs Hungary Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Wales won 2-0 away in Azerbaijan at the weekend and another win here will take them into the Euro 2020 finals. They are in third place, a point behind Hungary with the group already won by Croatia. Also with an interest in this game are Slovakia who could steal second spot with a win over Azerbaijan and this game ending in a draw. Wales are unbeaten at home in this group with a couple of wins and a 1-1 draw with group winners Croatia. They are unbeaten in their last five games, all of them having under 2.5 goals in them. Only two of their last ten matches have had over 2.5 goals scored in them.

Hungary finished fourth in the 1972 European Championships but had to wait until 2016 before they even qualified for the finals. They are in second place in this group having won four games but losing the other three. Three of their wins came on home soil, the other a 3-1 win in Azerbaijan. Their other two away games ended in defeats by Croatia and Slovakia with no goals scored by the Hungarians. They won three group games in a row, including a 1-0 home victory over Wales. Since then though their form has slumped with four losses in five matches. The only win they have had was a home victory over Azerbaijan and that was a narrow 1-0 win.  Over the last two years, Hungary have only won one of 12 away matches. They are guaranteed a play-off position and will most likely need that. Go for Wales to get an important win and automatically qualify for the 2020 finals.
