Verona are bidding to get back into Serie A and start this weekend in second place two points behind leaders Frosinone. The top two automatically get promoted and Verona will lose that cherished place if losing at home to third place Spal who are only a point behind. The home side have gone two league games without a win, last week losing at 14th placed Avellino and before that being held to a draw at home by fourth placed Benevento. Home form has been strong this season though with nine wins out of 13 and their only loss was a 4-0 defeat by Novaro in November. Earlier in the season Verona won 3-1 at Spal so the away side will be looking for revenge as well as the chance to get into the top two. They have drawn eight league games so far and three of the last five. Away form isn't great with only four wins in nine games and four losses already. They have one win in their last four away league games and that includes a defeat at relegation threatened Pro Vercelli. Verona are strong at home and can get the win here to further boost their promotion hopes.
