Colombia are second in this group nine points behind runaway leaders Brazil. The top four qualify automatically and the fifth placed team go into a play-off. Colombia are four points ahead of fifth place with four games to go and a win in Venezuela will take them a lot closer to automatic qualification. Away form has been shaky in this group with three losses but those were against the better sides in the group. Colombia have won away at Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay who are all in the lower regions of this group so a win at rock bottom Venezuela is well within their capabilities. Venezuela only have six points from their 14 qualifiers with their only win being at home to Bolivia who are one from bottom. They have already lost four home games in this group and a fifth looks on the cards here so go for a Colombia away win.
