A perfect chance here for Real Madrid to go four points clear at the top of La Liga and still have a game in hand. They have won their last four league games and took a huge step towards the Champions League quarter finals with a home win over Napoli. At the weekend they beat Espanyol 2-0 at home and now travel to Valencia. Madrid have only won one of their last three away league games but two of those were against the teams currently second and third in the table. They drew at Barcelona but lost to Sevilla, Valencia away isn't as difficult as those clashes. The home side here are 15th in the table and already lost 11 league games. They are only seven points above the relegation zone but had a good home win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend but that was the seventh away defeat for Bilbao. At home this season, Valencia have only won three out of ten and recently lost 4-0 to Eibar. Madrid beat Valencia 3-2 at home earlier in the season and can get another win here to open up a gap at the top of La Liga.
