This La Liga matchday three fixture will see in-form Getafe travel to Estadio de Mestalla to face struggling Valencia on Friday. Can the Deep Blue Ones maintain their impressive winning start to the campaign against the Black and Whites? Here is our prediction for the match.
Valencia began their La Liga campaign this season settling for a 1-1 draw at home against Real Sociedad. Carlos Corberán’s side also failed to pick up a result in their last match at the weekend against Osasuna. Ante Budimir’s early goal was enough to condemn 10-man Valencia to their first defeat of the season.
The Mestalla-based outfit will hope to bounce back heading into this match. They have won four of their last seven La Liga home matches (D2, L1), including two of their last three encounters with Getafe.
Getafe have taken La Liga by storm this season. They began their campaign with a shock 2-0 away win against Celta Vigo. This was followed by another stunning 2-1 away victory against Sevilla at the weekend.
They will head into this match with a lot of confidence after these results. However, it's not likely to be another stroll in the park for José Bordalás’ men. The last time they won a match at Estadio de Mestalla was in the 2017-18 season.
