Turkiye vs Russia Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League

The new European Nations League begins and this is a League B match between Turkey and Russia. The other team in the group are Sweden with the winners being promoted to League A and the team finishing bottom going down to League C. Turkey failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup so will be looking for a better performance in this new European Nations League and hopefully topping the group and winning promotion to League A. Turkey are unbeaten in their last five friendlies, though three have ended in draws and only two of their last nine games have been won. They aren’t easy to beat though with only three defeats in their last 19 home games.

Russia did incredibly well to reach the quarter finals of the World Cup but are still only in League B of the European Nations League. They won their first two games in the World Cup finals but the following three saw defeat by Uruguay, a win on penalties over Spain before losing another penalty shoot-out to Croatia, so that’s no wins over 90 minutes in their last three outings. Over 90 minutes they have only won two of their last 12 games with one away win in the last eight. The two sides last met in May of this year ending in a 1-1 draw and the previous meeting in Turkey also ended level. All four games between Turkey and Russia  have seen under 2.5 goals scored and the tip here is for that total to become five after this game.
