Often when you lose a semi-final, the desire is just to try and get over it and go home. However, there's still a third and fourth place play-off to take part in for Tunisia and Nigeria. Perhaps they should add a bit of spice to the game, like automatic qualification for the next tournament for the third placed team? These matches aren't often the greatest of spectacles and the chances are this one won't be either. Tunisia had total heartbreak in their semi-final. They took Senegal to extra time but then in the 100th minute Dylan Bronn scored an own goal to give their opponents the win and a place in the final. Tunisia have played six games in this tournament and in 90 minutes have only won one game. That was a 3-0 victory over Madagascar in the quarter finals. Of those six matches, all bar that quarter-final victory have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.
Nigeria know just how Tunisia feel as they also had a heartbreaking end to their semi-final. They had fought back to 1-1 against Algeria but then Riyad Mahrez scored the winning goal in the 95th minute. Nigeria didn't have time to get an equalizer so into this third and fourth place play-off they headed. The Nigerians have had three of their matches in this tournament have under 2.5 goals scored in them. That's the tip for what could fizzle out into a bit of a low-scoring nothing much to report game.
