England fans won't need reminding it's now 52 years since they last won this trophy and barely anyone expects them to become champions in Russia. They have a squad that is inexperienced at this level with a dozen players aged between 19 and 25. it's almost an entirely different squad from the one that failed to get out of its group in 2014, the first time that had happened since 1958. Add on a terrble campaign at Euro 2016 and you can see why England fans aren't planning any World Cup winners street parties. They do have a squad that is packed wiith talent and surely a team that includes the likes of Kane, Vardy, Rashford, Sterling, Lingard and Alli can get past Tunisia and Panama to get through to the last sixteen before facing Belgium in their final qualifier. England are unbeaten in their last ten games and topped their qualifying group.
The Tunisian side are playing in their fifth World Cup fInals but their first since 2006 and have never got out of their group. They topped their qualifying group edging out DR Congo by a point and recent form has seen the African side go nine games unbeaten before losing their final warm-up game to Spain 1-0 in a game that was played in Russia. Before that defeat they had a couple of 2-2 draws with Portugal, where they came from 2-0 down and with Turkey who denied them a win with a last minute goal. Anice Badri scored in both of those games but their squad isn't packed with goal scorers with their top player being Wahbi Khazri with 12 goals. Their defence isn't the most experienced you will see in this tournament and Tunisia's record in World Cup finals is nothing to write home about. They have failed to win any of their last 11 games in the finals. England should be able to make that a dozen with a win in this game and can be backed to be ahead at both half and full time against their African opponents.

England aren't expected to go too deep into this tournament but they should have few problems reaching the knock-out stages. Two wins over Tunisia and Panama will do that and they can get the first half of that task completed with a win over Tunisia in the first of those games before taking on the much tougher Belgium in their final group match. England have a side that has its weaknesses, particularlarly in midfield but should have far too much for Tunisia up front. The Africans haven't got the best of defences and that should be the deciding factor here. Go for England to get the win and be ahead at both half and full time.
