Eighth seed Juan Manuel Cerundolo takes on lucky loser Toby Samuel for a place in the semi-finals of the grass court Eastbourne Open. Some long sets have been played by both players this week and our prediction is more than 0.5 tie-breaks.

The winner will face either qualifier Jon Choinski or unseeded Zizou Bergs in the last four.

Last week saw Francisco Cerundolo win the Queen's Club title. Now his brother is going well in Eastbourne and it's a bit of a surprise. Before this week, the clay court specialist had played just five matches on this surface and lost them all, four in straight sets.

This week has seen him finally get off the mark with wins over Raphael Collignon (in three sets) and Arthur Fery.

Cerundolo has played a tie-break in his last three grass court matches and six out of seven on all surfaces.

He is up to a career-high 41st in the live rankings. His English opponent has also achieved a career-high and is up to 129th.

Toby Samuel lost to Matteo Arnaldi in the final qualifying rounds. After several withdrawals, he was reinstated straight into round two and beat Thiago Agustin Tirante in straight sets. That included a tie-break being played in the match.
