Swansea City are 10th in the Championship in their first season back in the league after relegation from the Premier League last season. They host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup and the big question of course is what kind of line-ups each side will put out for this game. Palace only played in the Premier League on Sunday and before that had played on Monday against Liverpool. This game comes two days after their loss at Watford and it's unlikely that manager Roy Hodgson will field anything but a much weakened side for this cup tie. That's what happened last season and they lost to Championship side Bristol City in this competition. They have lost five of their last six away games in the English League Cup and it's not high on their priority list this season.
The home side got off to a good start in the Championship with a couple of wins but since then drew at Birmingham and at home to Leeds United and lost at home to Bristol City at the weekend. They are 10th in the table and now try to beat a Premier League team at home or more likely their reserve team. They have lost their last two home League Cup games but they were against the two Manchester sides. Before that they were unbeaten in their last seven home ties. Team selection is important in this game but a bet on the home side at decent odds is the suggestion.
