Stormers start this final European Rugby Champions Cup pool match in third place. The South Africans still have some work to do to ensure they reach the knockout stages. A win at home to Leicester Tigers will achieve that. Time for our match prediction.
A win for Stormers wlll guarantee qualification and a top two finish if Harlequins fail to win at Stade Rochelais. Doing so would see them playing at home in the last 16. Losing to Leicester would see them fail to qualify if Rochelais beat Harlequins.
Last weekend saw Stormers field a weakened line-up at Harlequins and lose 61-10. That was the first loss of the season for the club who are top of the United Rugby Championship. Their one home fixture in this pool produced a 42-21 victory over Stade Rochelais.
Leicester Tigers are fifth in the pool and finishing in that position will see them transferred to the European Challenge Cup. They are only a point behind the final qualifying place currently held by Stade Rochelais and a win here will take them into the last 16.
The Tigers beat Aviron Bayonne last weekend and are all but certain to finish at least fifth.
