Spain have a draw and a win from their first two games in this 2018 World Cup but still aren't certain of a place in the knock-out rounds. A win or a draw is their target for this game against Morocco. If they do suffer a shock defeat, they would have to rely on Portugal losing to Iran and then it could even go all the way down to fair play, in which they currently lead over Portugal and even the drawing of lots while Iran watch on having won the group. Spain will want to do everything possible to avoid that situation and make a safe passage through to the last sixteen and a tie against either Russia or Uruguay. They had plenty of possession against Iran but only a deflected shot got them the 1-0 win. On their day they can beat anyone and they could win this game easily if the likes of Silva, Isco and Costa are on song. An early goal would be the dream for them otherwise it could be a repeat of the Iran game with their opponents defending stoutly throughout the game.

While Spain are in a good position to qualify for the last sixteen, that's not the case for their opponents. Morocco began with a shock 1-0 defeat by Iran thanks to an injury-time own goal and followed that up with a 1-0 loss to Portugal but went the last 86 minutes without conceding. They had been unbeaten in 18 games before this tournament began but aready know they are out of this tournament and are yet to score a goal. They actually had more shots than Portugal on Tuesday but their international inexperience against top sides is being shown. This won't be easy for Spain because Morocco will be desperate to put on a good show for their fans and try their best to get something out of this tournament. Go for Spain to get the win.
