South Africa are the world champions and top the rankings, but are trailing in this four-test series against New Zealand. The All-Blacks won the first test last week and despite the Springboks being bound to want revenge, our prediction is they can win on a +11.5 handicap.
It was a tight match in the first test until the second half. New Zealand dominated that period and they ran out the 33-16 winners. There are three tests left to play, two in South Africa and one in the USA.
New Zealand's win was their fifth in South Africa in the past ten years.. It was also the second time that they had beaten the world champions in their last three matches. All four of their matches on this tour of South Africa have been won.
South Africa will be out for revenge here. Another defeat would mean that the best they can get from this series is a draw, if winning the final two matches that are scheduled.
It was really tight in the first half last weekend and the Springboks need to repeat that kind of effort if they are to level the series. They have to work out just what went wrong in the second half and avoid a repeat of that performance.

Our South Africa vs New Zealand Prediction
South Africa will come out all guns a blazing for this second test against New Zealand. They put up a good battle in the first half last weekend but then New Zealand ran away with the game with a dominant second half performance.
The All-Blacks will know that the South Africans will be desperate to level the series. However, their win must have boosted their confidence. The Springboks may well win but our South Africa v New Zealand prediction is New Zealand wins on a +11.5 handicap.
