With two games remaining, Slovenia top Group C3 in the Nations League by two points. They host Kosovo who are in third and eight points behind their opponents. Slovenia have ten points from their four games and are looking good to win promotion to League B.  They aren't just two points clear of Greece (who they travel to in their final group match) but are yet to concede a goal. At home, they have beaten Moldova 1-0 and drew 0-0 with Greece. Away form has seen them win 1-0 in Kosovo and then thrash Moldova 4-0. Haris Vuckic scored all four of their goals in those away games. Slovenia come into this match unbeaten in six games with no goals conceded. They warmed up for this crucial game with a home 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan. A win against Kosovo will see them promoted if Greece fail to get a win in Moldova. If both Slovenia and Greece do both win, then Slovenia will just need to avoid defeat in that final game against the Greeks.

Kosovo have reason to do well in this game but to avoid the relegation play-outs. They are third and just a point clear of Moldova, who they play in their final group match. Kosovo have drawn two of their four matches so far in this group. They had to come from behind in their opening fixture to grab a point in Moldova, then lost two games against Greece and Slovenia. Their second point came when drawing 0-0 away in Greece. Kosovo have gone nine games without a win since beating Montenegro at home in October 2019. On their travels, Kosovo have one win in the last nine, that includes a 2-1 loss in Albania on November 11. Slovenia are in form and just keep on avoiding conceding goals, they can get a vital home win here.
