Colombia never got over having a player sent off in just the third minute when losing 2-1 to Japan in their opening game. That put them firmly on the back foot in this group and on Sunday evening they took on Poland knowing another defeat would mean an early exit. That never looked like happening and they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over the Poles to put them back in contention for a place in the last sixteen against either England or Belgium. A win over Senegal definitely takes them through, possibly even as group winners if Japan don't get the win over Poland. A draw would leave Colombia hoping Japan lose to the Poles and a defeat means it's time to go home. They were impressive against the Poles and it was great to see Falcao get a goal.

Senegal will be kicking themselves after twice losing the lead against Japan in their second group game.That match ended 2-2 and if the Africans had held on then they'd be itop of the group. Instead they are second and know they only have to avoid defeat in this match to reach the last sixteen. Their boss was disappointed with the way Senegal played on Sunday and knows they will have to improve if they are to make it into the knock-out stages.  Colombia will have had their confidence boosted by the 3-0 win on Sunday and can reach the last sixteen with a win in this game leaving Senegal sweating on what Japan do in their final match.
