Sassuolo are shaping up as one of the teams to watch and will be looking to scale up the Serie A standings when they host league leaders Napoli in their next game. The home team has 18 points, in 12th place while Napoli have 35 points, at the top of the standings. Sassuolo are coming from an impressive comeback win over AC Milan, the fourth time in five matches that they’ve scored two or more goals. In their last five matches, they’ve beaten two title contenders - Juventus and Milan; they will be eying another key win here and their goal scoring form should work in their favour. Defensively, they haven’t been at their best though; in the last five matches, they have no clean sheet. Both teams have scored in nine of Sassuolo’s last 10 matches and each of their last eight matches has produced over 2.5 goals.

Napoli were in a slump but pulled themselves in their last game with a 4-0 win over Lazio, sending a serious message of their intentions. That was their first win in four matches and it brought to an end a two-game losing run. It was also their first clan sheet in five matches and as they go to this game, they still hold on as the best defensive side in the league. Napoli have conceded just seven goals this season, and have one loss in Serie A. They will still miss Victor Osimhen in this game as he nurses a facial injury. That hasn’t seemed to be a problem though, as Sebastian Zielinski and Dries Mertens have taken up the goal scoring duties, netting a combined seven goals in the last five matches.
