Sassuolo vs AC Milan Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

Sassuolo start the weekend fifth in Serie A and only five points behind visitors league leaders AC Milan. Wednesday saw Sassuolo miss a chance to close the gap on Milan. They led 1-0 at Fiorentina but returned home with a 1-1 draw. That extended their unbeaten league run to three games but two have been drawn. They have only lost one league game this season but this is going to be their toughest task to date. Their only loss was a 3-0 home defeat by Inter, so they’ll hope for better luck against the other side in Milan, even if they do happen to be top of the table. They do need to improve their home form though. Only two out of six have been won with three draw. Only one of the last four home Serie A fixtures has been won. Just that loss to Inter, but they had to come from 3-1 down to rescue a point against lowly Torino.

AC Milan saw their lead at the top of Serie A after only drawing at Genoa on Wednesday evening. They needed an 83rd minute goal to rescue a point but that's their second successive 2-2 draw. Both of those draws were played against sides in the bottom seven, so Milan need to improve or their lead over Inter will disappear. They are on an unbeaten run of 24 league games, since losing to Genoa in March of this year. Away league form has seen Milan win six of their last seven. Goals are always guaranteed wih them as Milan have scored at least two goals in each of their last 12 away league fixtures. Clean sheets aren’t common though with both teams scoring in seven of their last nine league and cup matches.  Over 2.5 goals looks a decent bet in this game with only once in the last 11 away Serie A games that stat not being a winner.
