After defeats in their opening two fixtures, Saracens finally ended their Premiership Cup deadlock with an emphatic away victory over bottom-placed Harlequins on Sunday. They won both halves to defeat the Quins 46-21 in London. 

Joe Shaw's men could close the gap to the top two to just one point with a win on Saturday. They have won five of their last six home games, dating back to last season and 17 of their last 18 meetings with Newcastle Red Bulls.

Newcastle Red Bulls put aside their six-match losing streak to stun third-placed Northampton Saints 31-14 in their last Premiership Cup fixture on Saturday. They rallied from nine points down in the first half, scoring 26 unanswered points in the second half to silence the Northampton crowd.

However, the Newcastle club are likely to struggle against the Saracens. They have lost eight of their last nine away games since last season, mostly by wide margins. They have also suffered defeats in all their visits to StoneX Stadium to face Saracens.
