Major League Baseball on Tuesday sees the defending champion Atlanta Braves on the West Coast to take on the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. The Braves and their division rivals the Mets look set to battle it out until the final day for the NL East division crown as the two continue their neck-and-neck race. Atlanta currently trails New York but their 87-54 record puts them only a game and a half behind the lead and all but guarantees them one of the three Wild Card spots should they ultimately come up short. The Giants aren’t afforded the same luxury and will need to start putting together an extended winning streak if they are to see the MLB postseason in 2022. The Giants hold a record of 68-73 which puts them third in the NL West and nine games off of the final Wild Card spot held by San Diego.

We’ll have to see how Kyle Wright responds after an awful outing in his last start which could well have dented the confidence of the 26-year-old. San Fran has been a solid, tough-to-beat squad when playing at home this season and morale should be high after the 3-2 win in game one of the series.
