Romania and Finland are faced against each other for the third round of a group also comprising of Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro. Romania hold last place after two defeats from their first two games, while Finland sit on top of the group, after drawing against Bosnia and beating Montenegro last time out. Romania were really competitive in their World Cup qualification group. They came third, only a point behind North Macedonia, eventually only missing out on a single point. However, they are on a negative run of late, with three defeats and one draw in their last four games. Romania prefer to keep things tight and focus on defensive solidity rather than go all out, which can be seen from the fact that nine of their eleven games have ended with Under 2.5 goals. They have had mixed fortunes at home with two wins and a draw from their last five, and will surely be looking to get their first points in this finely poised group. 

Finland are definitely taking steps of progress the last few years. After participating in the Euro 2021 and narrowly missing out on the knockout phase at the last round, they also pushed in their World Cup Qualification Group, finishing just one solitary point behind Ukraine.Their upwards trajectory can be backed up in their results, with Markku Kanerva's team losing just four games in the eleven they played since Euro 2021, and two of those coming against world champions France.They are also a defensive-minded team, with fourteen out of their last sixteen games ending with Under 2.5 goals. They tend to perform well away from home, having three wins in their last four away games. Interestignly in these games, they managed two keep two clean sheets, while four of their last five away games featured at least one clean sheet.
