Roma have lost their shimmer of the past years and a winless run of five straight matches has even more exposed their weaknesses. They have not done well in the Champions League either, even though they have secured passage to the next round. Their frailties aside, this looks like a winnable game for Roma, as they take on a Genoa side winless in 10 matches across all competitions. Genoa have managed just four wins in the 15 played in the season while Roma have one more. Averaging two goals conceded per game, Genoa are the third worst defensive side in the league, after conceding 30 goals thus far. Only Frosinone and Chievo, the bottom two sides, are worse. They have no clean sheets in their last 10 matches in Serie A while they have managed just two in the 15 matches. Genoa have conceded twice or more in eight of their 15 Serie A matches and have lost back to back Serie A away matches in their last three outings, while they are winless in the last four. Roma have managed just one win in the last seven Serie A matches, and they have conceded in each one of these. But at home they have done well, losing just one of seven. In their last five Serie A matches at home, Roma have picked 10 points from a possible 15. Roma are unbeaten in eight matches against Genoa and having lost just once to their visitors in 13 matches, they will go into this clash wearing the favorites’ tag.
