The last of the first round of the League Cup fixtures will have QPR host Norwich City on Wednesday. An away match against Bristol City awaits in the next round, for the winner here. A season-opening 4-0 loss to Watford rattled QPR but they recovered in the second beating Cardiff City 2-1. Both those were league matches, and now the attention switches to their first cup game of the season. Coincidentally, this will be their first home match of the season; building on the win over Cardiff will be crucial. There they will head seeking a first clean sheet in four competitive matches. They led three times against Southampton but in the end, a stoppage time penalty denied them three points. In their second straight away match, Norwich targets a better showing. Four of their last five competitive matches have had over 2.5 goals. In eight competitive matches, Norwich have managed just one win. They however come here unbeaten in six matches against QPR.
